About the blog

Hi, I'm Aaditya.

I build reusable rockets at SkyLakes Aerospace in Delhi. This is where the rest of my head goes: food, engineering notes, and essays.

I founded SkyLakes Aerospace while studying mechanical engineering at IPEC in Delhi. We're building SKYLX, a family of reusable small-lift launch vehicles. It started as a student project to put India's first student-built rocket past the Kármán line, and became a company once the goal outgrew what a student project could carry.

I've always built things. As a kid I took apart toy cars and carried a briefcase of tools everywhere, which earned me the family nickname kabadi wala. I'd still rather build the test stand than read another paper about it.

Rockets take most of my week, but not all of it. I chase street food across whatever city I'm in, I keep engineering notes so I don't make the same mistake twice, and I write essays when a question won't leave me alone. This blog keeps all three in one place, in three notebooks.
